Position Summary:
The Ambulatory Detox (AmbD) Nurse Manager provides direct and indirect patient care and coordination of care to Aware Recovery Care clients. The AmbD Nurse Manager works in collaboration with the virtual services leadership, admissions, and agency leaders to coordinate care for clients within the program. They provide supervision to AmbD Nursing staff, take part in staff training, and review program efficiencies to recommend and support changes to program process.

Position Highlights:
  • RN license required. Compact state licensure highly preferred.
  • Experience in SUD or Detox in required.
  • This is a full-time role with a salary $75k - $85k annually contingent on experience, education, and licensure. 
  • This role is remote, but candidate must be currently licensed in CT and MA. Must reside in one of the following states: CT, FL, GA, IN, KY, ME, MA, NH, OH, RI, VA, NJ, NY, AR, MN, PA, TX, MI.
  • Weekend and evening availability are a requirement.
    • Current shifts are variable and include weekend rotations.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Will act in the capacity of a nurse when shift coverage as needed, this may include weekend support.
● Will assist in onboarding and training for new AmbD staff as well as educating IHAT staff on available resources.
● Provide monthly supervision and at least quarterly field supervision of all direct reports.
● Act as the administrative support to the nursing team throughout the day, monitor, triage and direct messages appropriately.
● Create agenda and support weekly or as needed meetings with the team to determine workflow issues, provide feedback, message changes etc.
● Monthly random chart auditing to monitor service provision and clinical documentation to ensure ongoing documentation meets ARC standards.
● Obtain additional state licensure as requested by ARC as quickly as possible
● Develop a cohesive and collaborative relationship with all Nurse Practitioners
● Maintain up-to-date education on current addiction treatment trends, including knowledge of internal Aware resources and local resources for those with substance abuse.
● Lead educational training for EHR/IT, new modalities, programs and quality assurance related to AmbD/MAT services.
● Attend various agency case reviews to support care teams and leadership in identifying clients who are appropriate for referral to AmbD/MAT or NP services.
● Submit timely clinical documentation in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
● Coordination of services with the client, family, care team and providers to ensure client goals are met.
● Monitor and support the management of the weekly schedule for daily nurse/client visits.
● Manage and support staffing/schedule for the program.
● Maintain HIPAA compliance
● May be required to hold an IHAT caseload until capacity needs are met for AmbD/MAT needs
● Involvement in self-evaluation and professional development.
● Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
● Close collaboration with Virtual Services Program Manager on operational excellence, process improvement, etc.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
● RN licensure within the state(s) served
● Preference will be given to Nurse who lives in a compact state and has compact licensure. The person in this role will be required to become licensed in all states where AmbD is serviced. (NH, MA, CT, KY, IN, OH, VA, GA)
● One year of professional clinical nursing experience in Substance use treatment and/or detoxification.
● Possess a fundamental knowledge and understanding of most current medications prescribed in Detoxification and MAT settings.
● Possess a fundamental knowledge and understanding of the AmbD Process’, MATs, EHR, Screening, Medical Comorbidities, Dual Diagnosis, Infection Control, Infection Control and Management, documentation and transition to IHAT
