Aware Recovery Care (ARC) offers a holistic approach to treatment and changes the way clients receive care throughout the country. ARC is a year-long, home based, addiction treatment program that works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assist clients in their first year of recovery.

Position Summary:

The Psychotherapist (IPT) is responsible for delivering IHAT (In-Home Addiction Treatment) Psychotherapy to Aware Recovery Care (ARC) clients related to their substance use and co-occurring mental health diagnoses, psychotherapy sessions to clients assigned in our outpatient MAT only service line, as well as up to six virtual family sessions utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy for clients and up to two identified allies. The IPT may act as a clinical consultant to Aware Care Teams by communicating relevant clinical information about diagnoses and making treatment recommendations based on consistent evaluation of client’s progress on their identified goals.  

Position Highlights:

  • The salary range for this position is $70K to $88K based on experience and licensure
  • This is a remote position but must be licensed in Massachusetts or New Hampshire and licensed in your state of residency if you do not live in MA/NH.
  • Active licensure required must be either a LCSW / LICSW or LPC/LPCC, LMHC or LMFT or Licensed Psychologist in Maine or New Hampshire
  • Candidate must be willing to get crossed licensed
  • This role is Remote but candidate must reside in one of the following states: CT, FL, GA, IN, KY, ME, MA, NH, OH, RI, VA, NJ, NY, AR, MN, PA, TX

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES & RESPOBSIBILITIES: 

Provide psychotherapy to ARC clients and modify session cadence according to clinical need 

  • Provide family therapy sessions utilizing Solution Focused Brief Therapy for assigned families 

  • Provide psychotherapy services to clients in MAT track of Aware program as assigned 

Guide the Care Team by providing feedback on how to incorporate behavioral interventions that will reinforce clinically significant change and ensure continuity of care  

Administer mental health screenings to measure psychotherapy outcomes

 Coordinate referrals to external psychotherapy providers when needed  

Attend departmental, full-staff, and team meetings as needed  

Perform Clinician Safety Evaluation for clients when there is an identified need  

Provide mentorship to new IPTs and in some instances, supervision to clinical interns  

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned  

All duties listed herein and any miscellaneous job-related duties assigned but not listed will not exceed 40 hours per week  

Skills & Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:  
  • Master level Social Work or relevant licensure  

  • Minimum of 1 year experience within the field of substance abuse recovery.  

  • Educated understanding of substance abuse recovery including but not limited to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), as well as knowledge of the various pathways to recovery.  

  • Proficient in Office 365  

  • Independent or Provisional Clinical Master’s level licensure (LCSW or LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LPC or their corresponding provisional license). Must possess IHAT Practitioner Certification or achieve within 6 months of start date.  

  • Ability to obtain cross-licensure in other states with Aware services 

  • Ability to be credentialed with major insurers to provide IPT for MAT services 

SKILLS: 
  • Strong assessment skills and mental health knowledge regarding addiction. Exemplary motivational interviewing and deep listening skills.  

  • Working knowledge of supplementary and alternative Addiction Treatment modalities.  

  • Appreciation and respect for principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to engage with diverse audiences (age, gender, nationality, race/ethnicity, profession, etc.)
