Aware Recovery Care (ARC) offers a holistic approach to treatment and changes the way clients receive care throughout the country. ARC is a year-long, home based, addiction treatment program that works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assist clients in their first year of recovery.

Position Summary:  

The Instructional Designer collaboratively develops learning solutions informed by desired learning outcomes of key stakeholders. Members of the Instructional Design team decide on the criteria used to assess learners performance and develop appropriate assessment strategies. Instructional Designers are responsible for all learning materials based on organizational needs/changes. 

  • This role is being considered hybrid if you live in CT or 100% remote.
  • Salary range for this position is $50K - $55K

Responsibilities

  • Reasonable Accommodations Statement:

    • Effectively lead Instructional Design projects:
    • Guide and provide appropriate timeline updates
    • Collaborate with Regulatory Compliance and various subject matter experts to guide development of ID projects
    • Ensure alignment of all materials with standard clinical practices for In-Home Addiction Treatment (IHAT)
    • Responsible for creation of all deliverables assigned by ID manager
    • Analyze and evaluate the efficacy of training resources and processes
    • Meet with subject matter experts and ARC leadership to gather/define learning needs, gaps, and
    • Design and implement various learning solutions to meet organizational needs
    • Participate in evolution of ID process based on best practices and learning theories
    • Collaborate with Trainers, Training Manager(s), and Expansion leaders to assess, develop and implement necessary learning solutions
    • Ability to travel as needed
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Instructional Design (or related field) required.
  • At least 2 years in training leadership and development preferred.
  • Substance Use Disorder treatment and knowledge of various pathways to recovery preferred.
Other Requirements: Understanding of Adult Learning Theory (ADDIE Model), Proficiency in process analysis and evaluation.
Computer Skills : Proficiency in Google Suites, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, Learning Management System (LMS), and Microsoft Office. Knowledge and application of conceptual and system related training (system simulation). Proficiency at LMS administration and course authoring.
Other Requirements: Understanding of Adult Learning Theory (ADDIE Model). Proficiency in process analysis and evaluation.
