The Vice President of People is the primary executive role to develop and lead the People department, develop and implement human resource strategies and initiatives across the organization. These strategies will cover workforce planning, employee development, employee relations, performance management, benefits and compensation, talent acquisition, operations, regulatory compliance, and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) initiatives. The Vice President of People will oversee all personnel within the People Operations department. This role requires travel to the corporate agency located in Wallingford, CT.

- Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, retention, and DEIB.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, standard operating protocols, HR training, total reward initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and HR training and development.
- Identifies total reward and employee experience needs; develops and executes best practices for retention and talent management.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS).
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assess and track employee performance, turnover, and creates mitigation plans to reduce staff turnover and reductions.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
- Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- Oversees all employee relations case investigations and creates mitigation strategies to reduce risks within departments.
- Manages a team of HR professionals, providing supervision, growth and development.

Skills & Qualifications
Education:- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or Human Resources or other related field.
- 7-10 years of experience working in a HR Department, preferably in a multi-site and multi-state environment
- Previous management experience in Behavioral Health or other Healthcare-related organizations preferred.
- Proficient in Google Office Suite and O365
- SHRM - CP highly preferred.
